Map first. Then cut over.

  1. 01

    Draw the current system — flows, access, boundaries — before writing code.

  2. 02

    Name the invariants. Incomplete or illegal input does not pass.

  3. 03

    TDD on the core. Small vertical slices. Lint-clean. Then integrate.

  4. 04

    Run old and new together until they agree. Measure what the business cares about, not only HTTP 200.
